Seems like a poor man's version of Lycos Top 50, which has been going for quite a while and is actually rather entertaining.
A slightly dated, but still interesting, list of commonly-searched terms is at Search Engine Watch, and the original search voyeur pages are still running at MetaSpy and MetaCrawler Voyeur.


My take on the whole thing was way back on October 11 of last year.

Speaking of The Lycos 50, it looks like AltaVista has ripped off their idea almost completely. I guess if one portal has something popular, then they all need to have something similar...
