Cool, a link to a geek site containing an interview with a fringe candidate no one has ever heard of with almost no chance of being elected.

I can barely read at all.

Thanks for the link, bitpart, I wouldn't have otherwise seen it.

Also, Bednarik shows some political skills by selling the LP platform in a way that won't scare the typical slashdotter.

I don't see why Kerry doesn't have his people talking to /. I'm sure Rob and the boys would jump all over the chance to host a press conference for someone who actually has a chance of winning and it would go over big with the fan boy crowd.

Plus it's pretty safe as his handlers could choose only the questions they want to answer. And his writers could phase all the answers so not much time taken by Kerry. Better than a canned press conference.

It's a big ol' win-win for everyone involved.

And despite having a lower ID on /. than Metafilter I don't read much over there anymore. The discussion on /. has gone steadily down hill since ID's became available. So thanks bitpart. If we've got to have polifilter at least this is interesting polifilter.

Slashdot has used their modded-question interview process before; in 2000 they got answers from Harry Browne and David McReynolds as well as Ralph Nader (and a Slashdot-posted question was answered by the Bush and Gore campaigns at another website).
