domestic rabbit doesn't taste that good. so says my father in law. i've only ever eaten wild rabbit. it's good barbecued.

but i gotta say... you rescue a rabbit, and then threaten to eat it? that's just wrong on some level. he's cute and so sad looking. i think it's the "i trust and depend on you" angle that makes me unhappy about this. i wouldn't eat one of my cats. they trust me to take care of them and not to hurt them. you aren't supposed to break that kind of a deal. it's different with a wild rabbit. they don't trust me, and don't depend on me. and i'm probably not a very good shot, so the odds are heavily in favor of the rabbit...

That rabbit photo is amazing. Looks almost fake in its lepusesque perfection. The paws are in a mornful praying position and its eyes are incredibly pleading.

What's with the purse on the left in the photo? Assuming this is a (straight) man, what girl would stay with him while he's doing this?

Dude, I have two rabbits, one of which I would gladly serve up for a donation of a mere hundred bucks. I figure she's got enough meat on her for a dinner for four, plus someone can keep her pelt for a hat or single slipper. Nothing says yummy like bunny in the tummy!

As for my rabbit, Robocop, you'll take him to the wok from my cold, dead hands.
