All the more reason for Al Franken to run in MN, eh? Man, Kiffmeyer is pretty awful!

I'm curious, though, as to how Kiffmeyer's performance compares to others in her position within other states. Or, for that matter, the performance of others in her department. How can just one chirpy religious moron cause so much havoc in an election process?

Kiffmeyer's pretty obnoxious. What makes it worse is that the woman she succeeded, Joan Growe, seemed extremely competent and evenhanded.

Oh, and I hope like hell that Franken doesn't run up here. Partly because we're still trying to live down the Jesse Ventura election, partly because the thought of Franken and Norm Coleman trying to out-grandstand each other makes my stomach churn.

Great post, by the way. I generally don't like multiple link posts but this one pulls together several related articles in a nice coherent way.

As for the post itself, did anyone dream 2004 would be such a mess? We can't even do elections right, let alone cough up the promised flying cars.
