Count how many so-called trends note a "change," and how often they label forward progress a trend, such as the increase in broadband availability. A lot of this is trendspotting of "water is wet" caliber, at least as expressed in this press release.

Glad to know we're no longer geeks, though.

I'd second that and say - we're in a "significant story" saturated month and this one, as with declining frog populations or diminishing oil, deserves more attention than it's getting.
