Çatalhöyük, a site for kids devoted to the archeological excavations of the remains of a Neolithic town in central Turkey. A great introduction for all ages to this important city, with activities, quicktime tours and links to more in depth resources.

Hey, neat. Isn't Catal Hoyuk the earliest evidence of civilization yet discovered? (No, I haven't clicked the links yet, I just thought an archaeological FPP was neat.) I'll click now.

Very cool, twf!

I read in an Archeology Magazine article that these clay balls are just about always weapons, though. Maybe I'll look it up later, as I forget what kind of weapons, but remember it was a fascinating read, and I believe the article was about a different culture. It's always interesting when different cultures reach the same "engineering" conclusions.
