Actors Beaten After Staging Bag Snatching - I just find the stupidity of their stunt funny, hehe...

I think that's great! That's exactly what a crowd of strangers should do in that kind of circumstance; the exact opposite of "don't get involved".

Anyone here old enough to remember Kitty Genovese?

I remember it as a kid (I was 10), and I remember deciding that I would never act that way, that I would get involved.

And these people in Malta did so too. Bravo! More power to them.

Personally, I'm in favor of beating actors, whatever the reason may be. Why? Well....YOU try living in Hollywood for a couple of years.

So, any suggestions on which actor(s) shall qualify for the next round of thrashings, and why?

I'm not old enough that I was around when Kitty Genovese was killed, but we did cover that exact subject matter in my psyc class. In fact, we discussed it both times I took it. I didn't go to class very often the first time around :(. I am fairly suprised that someone or group of people actually helped, but I guess it only takes one person to make everyone realize they should do the right thing...

wait a minute. Doesn't that contradict some other theory about people not worrying about it because someone else is taking care of it? Don't mind me, I'm talking out of my arse.

You know, this makes two posts in a row from the Reuters "Oddly Enough" news section. I think we're all pretty capable of going to Excite or Yahoo and reading the stories for ourselves.

Besides, if you're going to pick one from that category, I think the fact that Richard Gere would like to be Madeline Albright is much more interesting...

Sorry, but these "actors" seem to have given the local yahoos a golden opportunity to get their rocks off. It's called vigilanteism. Petty theft is a far cry from murder.
