It's a good thing that there is color photo documentation, because words just can't describe how breathtakingly ugly the seventies were. I lived through it and I just have no idea what people were thinking. Look at this breakfast nook, there's like five different clashing floor and wood and fabric patterns in a space that's less than six feet by six feet. That took hard work, imagination and dedication to make something that ugly. The scariest thing is that everything in the world looked like that: cars, houses, clothing, restaurants. *Shudder*
