Ahhh, I've always loved those great big, bushy beasts, those gentle guardians of the great plains...

They would make a far greater symbol for my homeland than the industrious but unimpressive beaver. You might not guess it from my username, but I grew up 20 minutes from here, so the beasties were almost like part of the neighbourhood. That said, I must somewhat indecorously add that bison are mighty good eatin'...
