Great post.
There's some pretty creative stuff there; this one looks almost like a ziggurat.
The 20s were a more creative period in the USSR with regard to poster art, architecture and so on. It's a great pity that most Soviet buildings would end up looking like this.

Goddamn that's a good find. I love alternate designs for monuments, I've been looking for a book or site that contained at least some of the other submissions for the Vietnam memorial for years now.

Great stuff. I really like the descriptions that accompany some of them - I wish all of them had the artist's statement or vision included.
