Holy crap -- the Sims in Flash. I don't have the time for a time sink but this looks amazing. Obviously they have to make it more limited (you can't build things or change the environment as far as I can tell) but the overall satisfaction/motivation engine is there.

Quite a surprise to this here, the game was put up a couple years back.

I'm one of the guys who made it (please, please don't email me about any bugs, thanks :P).

Since it's relevant, I hope this doesn't qualify as the bad kind of self-link, but we did a more recent game for them that's a bit less buggy and (in my totally unbiased opinion) pretty fun:
Avatar Prom. Avatar Prom is a prom-themed game in the style of Japanese RPGs -- with the swords, sorcery, and hit points replaced with flirting, DJing, and happiness. You have to register, but they don't even ask ya for an email address.

Anyway, glad some folks are liking Avatar High.

Hey, Malphigian -- that's the second reference to Princess Maker in as many days, eh? The world is a puzzling fruit. And the first was in the context of designing a new game for The-N.com, no less...

But who has time for Avatar High? I've got to get back to Cyrkam Airtös...(a game I didn't work on, though if I don't temper myself it may just prevent me from working at all.)
