Best Job safety video ever! It seems that Sam Raimi is doing work safety videos now. FYI you don't need to know german.

That took a long time to get funny. But, if I made safety videos, that's what they'd look like. Maybe I wouldn't do them in German, though.

Easily the best interweb video EVAR!

That's a 7MB .wmv file, by the way, and probably not especially safe for work.

It does take a little while to get going, but, once it does, it had me laughing out loud. Can anyone confirm that this is actually a real safety video? It plays sort of like a parody of one.

The bit with the subjective sound of the guy wearing noise-reducing headphones is particularly inspired.

Sorry MrLint.

I'm sure its totally real. I had an advanced German tutor for a while and our textbook written for Germans was filled with exercises asking the student to make a sentence about "ein Bild der Stadt, die 1944 durch einen Bombenangriff zu 80% zerstoert worden ist." roughly translating to a picture of the city that was 80% destroyed in a bombing attack in 1944. Other classics included "Bei der Explosion wurden drei in der Naehe spielende Kinder von herumfligenden Steinen und Erdgebroken getroffen," which means roughly "Near the explosion, three children playing in the neighborhood were struck by rocks and chunks of earth thrown out. These people see this as normal. Remember, these are people who think Kafka's Metamorphosis is funny. Like really funny, not existential funny.

the benefits of a double-post:
-being reminded of a previous post you may have liked and forgotten about
-finally finding that crazy german video you meant to send to a coworker who fell off a three-legged stool and sprained their ankle
-the reminder that the internet is, in fact, finite...believe it or not.

Have yet to watch the video, but I had to commend MrLint on the fine choice for title of this thread.

This is the song written for the train chase
This is the fight between Rocky and Ken!

Remember, these are people who think Kafka's Metamorphosis is funny.

It's a story about a guy who transforms into a giant bug. How can that not be funny?

Is there anyone who hasn't seen this?
This thing is so old it almost predates the internets.

I'll be darned. I hadn't seen it before. It's too bad it wasn't originally a safety film, but cool that it's used as such since.

Unfortunately Dr. Wu and Ironmouth, it's not real.

I'd never seen it. I suspected it was not real, but it's still pretty funny. Thanks for the laugh.

I have never seen this. I found it funny. That cutter/knife snapping off in the guy's head though.... ewww.

The actor at the end with the ear protection reminds me quite a lot of a greying version of The Hedgehog.

I'm usually the type of person who's way behind the times, but even I saw this many many months ago.

Where on the website does it say it isn't real? And what exactly is or isn't real? If someone somewhere uses this as a training video, does it make it real?
