Look up more - Improv Everywhere has been mentioned before but this latest mission is the largest yet. After reading about it here, I wonder how many people signed up for the NYC list? Were there any other MeFites there? I was window 39...

Awesome. Wish I had known in advance; would have loved to have seen it live.

I have yet to find a more compelling reason to live near New York City.

Why does chaos have to be a thing? I'm a purist and pranking should be all there is, no web site, no digital video discs, no sign ups. One goes and does the prank and leaves. The prank is all there is.

The write-ups were a bit repetitive, but some of them were gems. I liked these:

We regroup at our original site at Union Square, and only then does one of our fellow agents realize what our tactic should have been. "We should have tried on some shoes, left them on during the routine, and then they COULDN'T have kicked us out." Ah, hindsight's a bitch.

&

Once I was outside a couple of the bystanders asked if I knew what was going on. "No, I just came from inside, I couldn't figure it out." "Well what did it look like from in there?" Turning to him honestly confused I said, "The same as it does out here, only from the back". I'm not sure what he expected.

and

There’s grumbling that what happened at DSW makes it a bad store, and one should not shop there. But that implies that there are good shoe chains whose managerial training programs include a seminar on unannounced performance art installations and how they should be allowed because the alternative would be mean.

Damn. I must re-align the constellations, that I may return to New York City.

Cool. I agree with captaintripps theoretically, but in practice I want to find out about things! thanks for the link.

Every time I see that URL, I read it as 'Improve Everywhere'. I'm not so sure that's far wrong. Wonderful stuff.
