ted koppel sounded like he was high last night .. every 5 or 10 minutes he'd turn to one of his co-hosts and say "do you realize that the president has already been elected and we're just waiting for the results to come in? the american people have already elected the president, we just don't know who it is"...

I keep hearing about Rather's antics, but didn't catch them. Is anyone aware of a transcript (at least of the better bits)?

I'm reminded of Peter Jennings broadcasting for something like 24 hours straight to cover New Years 2000 all over the globe. By the end of it, he was wandering around the studio while talking, peering out the windows obsessively, and blinking very slowly.

Hee hee! Rather made a 'Trigger' analogy this morning that cracked me up. I doubt that most people under the age of fifty or so would have gotten it.
