Free Scoop Night. For the last two years we've announced this blessed event here on MeFi. Don't forget to get your free scoop.

It appears that Baskin Robbins has forgone this event this year (they have given free scoops and helped community literacy, last year by donating to First Book, for the last 5 years). I hope that it is simply scheduled for another time--it's great to see a corporation do good for the local community.

Hmm, not one of these in Minnesota.
No Baskin Robbins in Minnesota
No TCBY in minnesotsa
No dunken donuts in Minnesota

I've been telling everyone in the office that there are two pieces of important breaking news: free ice cream and a new pope.

Uh, AMWKE, you've got like 5 of them in Minnesota. Of course, they're all around the twin cities area, but really -- why live anywhere else in Minnesota?

I'm just sobbing quietly in my Culver's that there are no B&Js here in Wisconsin. After living the last 8 years in Connecticut, I had gotten used to having such flavorful ice cream in my general area.

(no Dunkin Donuts? surely you jest.)

Heehee, my gf used to manage a Ben & Jerry's and two years ago free cone day happened to be on my birthday, so I convinced my employer to let me take the morning off and work a shift. I got a a 25th anniversary tie-dye T-shirt out of the deal but the best gift was all the smiles as I gave away free ice cream.

Here's a pic of the back of my head in the funky shirt (self link, duh).

psychotic_venom, I didn't even know there was one in Round Rock, and my parents live there. Unfortunately, I'm in central Austin without a car. Maybe next year.
