It's not political. But it's rather useful. Free (accurate!) tuning software for the guitarists out there.

Curses . . . tis only for Windows.

I am NOT an animal! I am a Macintosh user!

As such, I sometimes feel a little disenfranchised.

Even more useful, I think, is this Guitar Tuner for Palms.

you guys must have your computer integrated with your audio setup much better than i do. the guitar tuner seems like a cool toy, but quite inconvenient to actually use.

does anyone do home recording? i'd like to try out guillemot maxi studio but i'm out of cash at the moment.

It's convenient for me when I'm at home... when i'm performing, I generally use my keyboardist's, um, keyboard -- no pickup makes it a pain to use a conventional tuner.

I've done some home recording, and I've got some great results from Cool Edit Pro (www.syntrillium.com).

If there are any people using a real OS (yes, you guessed it. That's more or less anything unixy (that has a /dev/dsp)): gstring.
