I checked out the desert research links. The photos and info were interesting. I didn't know that RV parks (temporary urbanism) and car washes (urban topology) could look beautiful like that.

I've been passing near those things all along without knowing they were sirens. I wonder if they've ever been set off since Pearl Harbor and the Battle of Los Angeles.

There are some nice photos there, and I like the layout. I'm not a huge fan of terms like "Contemporary Nomadism," but what are you gonna do.
