So if conservative bloggers are mocked as being the "101st Fighting Keyboarders", what does that make liberal bloggers? "Al-Keyboard"?

Oh, man... it's funny because liberals love terrorism!

But, don't give up hope TDDL, I'm sure there will be another "compromise" where the dems agree to let Bolton be approved in exchange for... um.... nothing.

I heard it's going to be a recess appt.--they don't want to be seen as caving, and still won't provide any of the requested info. (which is just asinine, since we paid his salary)

Not yet. Bush may very well just appoint the ass-wipe (incompetent and unethical bastard that he is) via recess appointment over the 4 July holiday.

On preview, what Amberglow said.

The Republicans have been paying the "obstructionist Democrats" card so hard (never mind that Democrats are rolling over and playing dead compared to Republican behavior of a few years ago), that if they give in on Bolton, the base may start to see Bush et al. as pansies that lost to the evil terrorists known as Democrats.

And Republicans can't have that, now can they? Especially not a Republican like Bush, who has to be seen as infallible in order for his ego to still allow him to get up in the morning.

Yeah, don't we have drugs to treat delusional behavior nowadays?

The radio in the second picture is pretty cool. The rest of the auction is pretty silly, but the radio rocks.

I don't usually say things like this, but
Fuck John Bolton, Fuck Him Up His Stupid Ass.

There, I feel better now. Time to go watch some Disney...

Mein Got, can we get any more NewsFilter on the Blue. Fuck, it's driving me bonkers. Most of this shit is not best of the web.

I could care less whether Bolton gets his demotion (see 8:29 pm) or not, especially since Bolton used to be at State where he allegedly did a lot more damage. I just found the framing of the story as a "win for bloggers" very funny.

MetaFilter could lose 10 threads without harm.

I can't see it really being a big loss for anyone here (and thus not a win for anyone either - especially bloggers), as others have already mentioned we may very well see a recess apointment, but more to the point they Republican leadership knew what they were getting into today when they pushed for the vote with 3 Republicans not in town to make the vote, the loss of at least one other (Voinovich, didn't see others mentioned).

So we'll get Bolton anyway, George Allen and others will have their stage to complain about those obstructionist Dems, Frist will look a bit crazy, and the masses will largely have forgotten it aside from a few generalized refrences the next time someone tries to convince them it matters to them.

Umm, Voinovich had a hell of a lot more to do with Bolton's demise than bloggers. The mustache didn't help...
