The universe is a big place. Look long enough, and you might could find anything, like, say, a solar system in the shape of Garfield.

It's good to know that God has a sense of humor, and that he watches movies. What am I talking about, that guy is omnipresent, he has been to every LOTR showing since it began...

but that implies that.. God is the biggest nerd of all time?!

Way to go New Line Cinema. You wanted to bolster your profits by screwing Jackson out of a lousy $100 million you owe him. Thought you were so smart and all. Well who's laughing now. Look what you've done. Don't look at me. Look at the eye.

That is a great pic. Anyone find hi-res versions of it?

I want to find the part of space that says 'We apologize for the inconvenience.' It would make me feel a lot better.

edgeways: God's last message to Creation?

That said, Sauron n space cracks me up, great link! It totally wouldn't suprise me if God was a huge nerd.

The one on APOD seems to be a bit better, although it isn't really high-res, a3matrix.

God would have to be a huge nerd. I mean, what the fuck is up with Pi?

Fomalhaut is the Watcher star of Pisces Avstrinvs, the Southern Fish which lies at the feet of Aquarius and drinks the outpouring of the Waterbearer (Aquarius).  In the Bible, Fomalhaut is called Albemuth and seems to predict the nature of the nature of the Aeon of Horus:

[Joel 2:28.30] "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.  "

it's a dead giveaway, innit?

loquacious: Pi is probably unity (=1) in God's math.

If the NASA scientists had studied some occultism or played Call of Chthulu even, they wouldn't have been suprised.

Ron: "Say Dave, I bet when that photo of Fomalhaut from the Hubble develops the gas ring looks like a giant eye"

Dave: "...ok, your on."
( picture develops)

Dave: "How did you...?"

Ron: *snickers* goes back to reading copy of "The Dweller in Darkness." Eventually goes mad.

This is a high-res .jpg of the image. Also, look here.

Most of the eye-like features are caused by the photographic processes. The real thing probably looks like a star with a very dim ring around it.

Very bad-ass, but I wonder if they don't happen to have a mountain of pictures that look very similar to this.
