Do you have a favorite APOD? Here are a few of mine.

For me it's enough, after the first coffee and cocaine and heroin of the day, to crank up the old LCII and rest my wasted weary eyes on yon immutable perspective.

This "uncluttered area of the sky" blows me away every time I see it. Just think about what/when we're looking at in this picture. Talk about perspective . . . Even the imaginary realms of Babylon 5, Star Trek, and the Foundation are limited to our measly little galaxy.

i like the mt washington summitcam. i have a friend who lives at the foot of this mountain. the weather looks pretty crummy today, but even in winter you get some spectacular views, especially when the hoar ice builds up.

Thanks for sharing the APODs, people, they're gorgeous! I love the Martian smiley face, heh heh!

Ooh, I almost forgot a great APOD. They posted this one last Christmas. I kept it on my my desktop for quite a while after that.

There should be a large arrow pointing on a very small spot on one of these pictures that is labelled "you are not anywhere near here."
