An Image Bank For Everyday Revolutionary Life - The Siqueiros Photographic Archive is a collection of photographic images collected by Mexican mural artist David Áfaro Siqueiros..."The archive traces Siqueiros's visual research prior to painting on canvas or on the wall, and also documents his use of photography during the production of the works themselves." Oh, sweet. I was trying to write a paper about muralism and revolution a couple of years ago, and one of the biggest stumbling blocks was the lack of primary sources.
Siqueiros was quite a bit of a bastard, along with being a hell of an artist. He was most likely involved in the killing of Trotsky and was a Stalinist through and through. Still, his art reflects this great arc of experience with war and social activism (along with religion) that's just phenomenal.
