I will note before I click the link, the Paul Daniels is one of the weirdest fellas around.

WOAH. Thank you.

Professional magician Paul Daniels has a weblogposse.

In a slight derail: Debbie McGee - hot or not? (in the 80s, obviously)

After reading a while I note that his weblog is as boring as most. Not sure why I kept reading this one.

Am I missing something?

Ooops -- forgot to mention this was sent to me by my friend Chris although I'm not sure how he found it.

Yes, this is really only interesting to Brits. But it's interesting to all Brits.

Ah, OK, sorry. I knew I had to be missing the inside joke here. I also wondered, why was the IMDB Paul Daniels the "Black Dicktator" in the film "The Dicktator" when he's apparently not black?

The IMDb entry does seem a bit confused, especially if you know the man. Was he really in a film called "The Stud Farm"?

I spent several years in England and I'm interested, thanks.

I'm a Brit too, and I'm interested in the theory of him blogging, but I think the actual content would be dull even for a fan, though.

And the lovely Debbie: as Mrs Merton asked her, "what was it first attracted you to short balding millionaire Paul Daniels?"

Paul Daniels achieves that miraculous of states, being not only one of the most annoying blokes on television but at the same time one of the most entertaining.

Thanks for this! But... umm...

[...] a very camp waiter who, although black, did not know the words to 'Ole Man River'.

Paul Daniels: no. Debbie McGee: no.

I say this as a one-time hobbyist magician, as a man, and as a decent human being.

Pretty_Generic, interesting to all Brits ... with the possible exception of Jerry Sadowitz.

I'd just like to say that I love Jerry Sadowitz. Almost carnally. And the man is a GOD with a deck of cards.

I saw Sadowitz live around the time Terry Waite had been held hostage for 4 or 5 years. Terrible, terrible thing, that. Waite was virtually canonised by the media in Britain at this stage. What was Sadowitz's opening gag?

"Terry Waite? What a cunt. You lend some people a fiver and you never see then again"

Ah me. I remember when comedy was punk. I fear it's time for nursie to bring me my pills again.

I have no idea why that posted twice. I do apologise.

There is room for both Sadowitz and Daniels in my heart.
