From the NYT article:
Mr. Kuklachev did an act which would become well known as "The Cat in the Pot." A cat would sit in a pot. He would take her out, and she would keep jumping back in again.
No one will be seated during the thrilling cat-jumping-into-the-pot scene!

(Actually, this sounds like it'd be worth seeing. Wonder if it'll set off my allergies.)

More from the New York Times article:
There are 120 cats altogether in the company. The other 94 are back in Moscow at the theater on Kutuzovsky Prospekt, where 10 caretakers and four veterinarians look after them. There, they live in the theater in glass-fronted spaces - not cages, Mr. Kuklachev insists - where they each have a bed and a chair to play on. They are allowed to roam but must enter and exit their rooms on his command, he said.

"We have no mice," Mr. Kuklachev noted.
I bet.

My wife and I have tickets for a September 24 performance.

I hope they sell T-shirts.

i actually saw this in dallas a few years ago when they were touring the u.s.

the show is quite entertaining. the props are very homemade looking and is narrated by someone with a very thick russian accent in broken english, which just adds to the charm. really one of the cutest things i have ever seen.

I like the picture of the cat doing the handstand on the clown's hand.

As for the singing cats, they are here, all 3 of them. They
refuse to sing the same song or to sing in tune. Caterwauling it is. Snicker.

From the "History":
"...he kept on training cats, disproving a widespread belief that cats cannot be tamed."
Also not stoned.

He should have picked less pissed-off looking cats for the photos, though.

Is there such a thing as a non-pissed off looking cat?
