Bill Hemmer is so hot

Talking Heads. Not until I stumbled upon this site did I figure out what it was the the Internet was missing. I've wanted to have Sanjay on my desktop for so long. And now that I have the ability to vote for which "journalist" I think is the hottest, I can finally feel as if I am participating in these news programs. That is Democracy, after all.

Those (American) female anchors have nothing on Melissa Theuriau.

Those aren't journalists. They are "talent." Or so a journalism professor told me. But maybe he was just bitter. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that so many pretty people read the news.

daksya, that woman is pretty enough to be a supermodel.

I just discovered that they have a fairly active forum (300+ members). Their civility is freaking amazing. Granted I've only been perusing for about an hour but I've yet to discover anything that could be classified as significant drama. We could all learn from them. All it takes is thinking alike. I think. Or a machine.

In Sweden we have Katarina Sandström, as our fashionable yet classically dressed newsreader.
Wow, Melissa could be a pop start tomorrow.

God almighty. You ain't lyin'. The French win.

Paula Zahn is still an incredibly lovely woman. I saw her through the glass at the CNN studio in NYC a few years ago, and she has legs that go all the way up to her neck. Hawtness and then some.

But yes, I'd have to agree that Melissa Theuriau is just in a league of her own. I saw one of her broadcasts and decided I needed to improve my French right then and there. Mon dieu!

Wow. Robin Meadel looks like a busted up old hag compared to Theuriau.

That's not a nice thing to say. But it's true.

I just quit hating the French.

Well so much for getting this change out of my pocket.

Oooo la la Melissa!

I still have a thing for Elizabeth Vargas. Back when she was a Chicago anchor and she'd make that pouty, come hither face while reporting on the latest drive-by, it was enough to send me over the edge. What were we discussing again?

In Australia we have many an attractive woman on the teev, however as someone who is often known as 'the thinking person's sex symbol', you can't go past SBS's Mary Kostikidis.

Am I wrong to still have a thing for Katie Couric? (Your pick: Amazing or Essential.) Of course, Couric fans probably grew up being Martha Quinn or Jan Smithers fans ...)

But I definitely had a strange fascination with Daljit Dhaliwal, who once anchored the ITN World News syndicated for the American market, where she "enjoyed cult status". She worked for PBS and then CNN until recently.

Then in the cheese department ... I can't remember her name, but she was one of the original or very early CNN anchors, a blonde woman who's probably around 50+ now. Right around the time she was moving on from CNN anchor duties, CNN Headline News ran a segment on women's health showing her at the gym, in a leotard that was ... probably unexpectedly revealing. I caught that segment by chance, ran around trying to find a videotape, but they didn't run it the next half hour. Or the hour after that ... I think it was a goodbye prank!

YES! Melissa is a goddess. Incidentally I think God must hate me because I can get 3 French newscasts up here but not LC1.

Katarina Sandström looks like she'd be a blast to hang out with, or maybe that picture just makes her look vivacious.

Amy Robach, used to be the local Fox channel traffic reporter, you know "Ernie Pie in the Sky". The helicopter that she rode in was called the Sky Fox, though during the days she did the report, they just called it the "Sky Fox Report" leaving the viewer to decide if Amy or the chopper was the real fox in question.

Son, I grew up watching WKRP. I know Bailey Quarters. And Katie Couric is no Bailey Quarters.

Rob Marciano fans (CNN weather stud): Yahoo! Group Weather Heights

Rob Marciano/Anderson Cooper slash fiction.

Anderson Cooper and others slash fiction.

ditto chunking express; Melissa Theuriau truly is beautiful. I'd listen to her telling me the news any day!

Although, I've always thought of Soledad O'Brien as a very attractive woman, even though I'm a big fat homo. I fell in love with her way back when she was doing that little 5-minute thing on the Discovery channel ("The Know Zone" -- remember?), and on "The Site" (with that totally computer-animated guy) during the MSNBC premiere. Now she's on CNN, and I love it!

She even has a fan site.

On Preview: I just threw up in my mouth a little bit re: the Anderson Cooper slash fiction. *shiver*

Bill Hemmer looks like a mad-eyed evangelist. If I saw that face at my window I'd call the cops. He doesn't look as batshit crazy as John Roberts, mind.

That French lady is very attractive in a very French way. I like the French, and I like France. I realise this is deeply unfashionable, but then so are my pants.

Back in the day, I used to look forward to having Deborah Norville read the news on NBC, and the years apparently are being kind to her.

I believe Joey Ramone put it best:

What´s happening on Wall Street
What´s happening at the Stock Exchange
I want to know

What´s happening on Squawk Box
What´s happening with my stocks
I want to know

I watch you on the TV every single day
Those eyes make everything okay
I watch her every day
I watch her every night
She´s really outta sight

ROU is correct. Katie Couric is strictly minor league compared to Jan Smithers (Bailey). She probably doesn't kiss up to Rethuglicans either.

Melissa Theuriau could make me immigrate.

Fox makes me want to throw up every three seconds, but Bill Hemmer is hot. There's something about those geeky uptight-looking types when they cut loose.

For my money, Ann Curry is the hottest woman in "news", period. (Note: picture does not convey her total and completely astounding hottitude.)

I agree with many of these choices. There was an anchorwoman that did the early morning CNN broadcast with Bill Hemmer but I can't remember her name. I always tried to get a glimpse of her before I went off to school.
