I love s.f. covers! But as for
.... an experimental interface
Keep experimenting.

I should correct my post - the earliest covers I've found are from the 30s, not the 50s.

Wow, I own quite a few of these.

Wow, Nick Jainschigg is in there a lot! He's an awesome guy, and I wouldn't be surprised if he reads Metafilter. Nick's website links to languagehat's -- meta oddness.

I love science fiction & science fiction illustrations. As an interface this isn't that great, but it's fun to just look at random pictures.

uni verse writes 'Keep experimenting.'

I heartily disagree. How else would you have put so many covers in some semblance of order in such as a small space?

Kick ass. IMO.

Can't help but think there's some "magic eye" image hidden in there, but my eyeballs are already in pain. Anyone else want to give it a go?

d'oh! didn't see that, jgg, my bad.

Or jjg, even.

Yeah, Nick's a great guy (and my site links to his as well—check the "Visual pleasures" part of the blogroll).

I liked this link better when it was posted earlier today.

What pointless snark. It's not a double post if it was originally linked in a comment; in fact, people are frequently urged to make front-page posts of great links originally hidden away in comments. No need to apologize, jonson. You did good.
