"They could also help in criminal justice settings by helping police determine if a suspect is lying, and in pre-employment screening." Okay so I'm guessing some organisations will positively discriminate in favour of liars, I can think of a few professions where it would be a bonus!
Seriously though, I've been fascinated by my Asberger partner's total inability to lie, even at the cost of his job (X 2) and nearly marraige (X !!!) I had to teach him the answer to "Does my ass look big in this?" . Lie, damn you, Lie!
Also fascinating to note that people with head injuries in exactly this area display similar "dis" ability.

"They've got the equipment to lie and they don't have the disinhibition that the rest of us have in telling the big whoppers," Dr Raine said.

Does he mean inhibition? Or is it just that I haven't had any caffeine yet and my white matter isn't doing its job?
