Alright! I got an 80, first try!

90 -- and a double hit to boot.

I'm plateauing at around 500. I see some of the scores in the tens of thousands and I just think "what!?"

I tried it, maybe its more fun with the sound turned on? I like the game where the angry girl rams her ex-boyfriend with her BMX bike to launch him better but I can't find it now.

fenriq: That's Nanaca Crash.

..and there goes my morning.

Laen, damn, there goes my morning now too! But thanks! Maybe I can get Nanaca Crash to play on my Clie? That would be cool!

The key is to get a guy running back a forth across the screen, keeping him "in play" by continuing to bonk him on the head. when he finally makes it off the screen, you earn men.. dependent upon how many times you bonked the runner.

So either I really suck, or it's not working right for me. I can only throw a ... thing when I click on a little man. So it's nearly impossible to bonk people. Is it supposed to be like that?

230 on the first try- I can see how this could be addicting.

Nanaca Crash.

509.57m.

Ouch.

kafziel.. same problem here.. how am i suppose to 'aim' if i can only throw while hovering my mouse over a little man, by the time my weopon is launched on the target, the man has walked away!
posted by airnxtz at 11:30 AM on October 26, 2005

that's kinda the idea, airnxtz. They walk at 3 different speeds, you've got to time them right.

Yes...it's tricky, agreed, but if it were easy, it would suck. Keep trying...you'll get it.

CynicalKnight: If you click your mouse while the guy is in the air (yet still on the screen), you'll get boosts.

Dang, 3430 m on Nanaca Crash, that was awesome! And I love the excitable little Japanese voice when you bash him in mid-air!
posted by fenriq at 11:57 AM on October 26, 2005

Too easy man. Only slightly less interesting would be clicking the mouse button repeatedly to score points (and i'm sure various dweebs would sit around racking up 10^8 points).

Feh. I don't think I quite grasp the mechanics of this game. I throw a tin can up in the air and it falls on the ground. Then I lose. Clearly I'm missing something about how to enjoy this one.

Nanaca Crash is much more fun. 5429.92m! (Use the free, unlimited down-boosts to rack up specials)

I've had no luck trying to work this into normal conversation, so I'll just have to brag here:

...and then 245.53m on Nanaca Crush - both these games are great thank you.

Laen: thanks for the Nanaca Crush link - I just wasted half an hour on it... great fun!

Are there any actual strategies at work in Nanaca Crash? 'cause all I can figure so far is that I can guesstimate an angle and power... and it's all just sit back and watch after that.

I've gotten up to 2500, I'm ashamed to say. The trick is to just catch one of the guys and keep him going back and forth. If you hit him a bunch of times, you get extra men.

I like my stupid games old. Space Invaders.

5630. It's hard at first, but when you get it... man is it satisfying :)

You missed the key point. Each of those little guys has a can on his back. When you click the guy, the can flies up in the air. Have it hit somebody on the head and see what happens.

An interesting game, I managed to get a couple "double" combos, but my goal was to try and get some chained hits (where you hit a guy that is holding a can, then his can flies in the air, which hits another guy with a can) but I couldn't manage it.
