A final resting place for bad animation. Half-rendered halloween horrors. A tangled corpse (quicktime) not fit for this world. Avert your eyes from these demonic beings (quicktime).

I found them much more amusing than I should have done.

phenomenal. I can't believe these are actually from real portfolios.

I love the camera work on 'tangled corpse.' The huge zoom-out leaves you to wonder what that spec of a person is doing, and then suddenly, WHOOSH! you fly right past him into the next phase of mystery. With eyes fixed on the black screen for half the movie, the director really makes you use your imagination, but without warning, you are brought back into 'the tangled corpse' and into a world that Steven King couldn't even imagine. 5 stars.

The "tangled corpse" isn't horrifying to me so much as simply confusing.

This was great fun, thanks! Good memories too.

shmegegge: I can't believe these are actually from real portfolios

I don't think they're all from portfolios, most of them are likely the works of beginners who are not very motivated/talented and the few "portfolio" stuff is from people who have a naive perception of their own talent and believe they'll end up at Pixar after a week spent on POV-Ray or Max (the latter pirated). In another forum a few days ago there was a guy looking for a job claiming to "master" Cinema4D, and he was surprised when the other forum members reminded him that a week ago he had described himself as a newbie...

Btw, a few of the anims are Poser animations gone haywire in the traditional Poser fashion. I've seen a 2D artist make a whole series of artworks based on Poser's abilities to destroy characters. I suspect that "tangled corpse" started out as an accident and that the author expanded on it, but the camera work could still be largely accidental.
