If you are stupid and L33T, using burned copys are bad?

Is that news? Was that marketed to the stupid L33T crowd?

One of the best Onion headlines: "Adobe Photoshop bought."

Would Adobe be as powerful and ubiquitous a company today if they had put strong copy-protection measures on Photoshop? I bet not.

The mouseover sound for the links section scares me. Scares me bad.

Oh, apparently it's made by the French subsidiary. Everything is now clear.

It's odd, the flash doesn't take ten minutes to load. Must be the first Adobe product that loads quickly.

I enjoy manipulating images of Domukun and kittens with a cool, refreshing glass of Adobe Blue viral advertising.

Who is the target audience for this, exactly? Does anyone really think that people who pirate software will poke around a goofy Flash site that tells them they're gonna go to jail? Not that I... you know... do that... or anything.

By the way, bonaldi wins.

It's not piracy - it's a "deferred purchase decision".

So is this what's running non-stop in Adobe's Board of Directors?

Whiskey
Tango
Foxtrot

the best part is that the computer that guy is using is running some pseudo version of OSX, but the video is only available for download in WMV...

Doesn't Adobe realize that if we hadn't been pirating their software ten years ago, there wouldn't be required Photoshop and Illustrator courses in colleges today?

To Adobe, I say: Thanks for the great software. I'll pay for it when I can afford it (never).

That, and they just outright bought whole companies to squash competition.

/me misses Aldus and Aldus Photostyler.

Now we'll have to look for copies of this video in the decompiled code for Sony's next DRM rootkit. MALWARIEEEEE.

Man. I remember the last time I tried to install pirated software at work. Such hijinks! The disk kept forcefully ejecting itself across the office! The resulting mayhem was such a source of hilarity for me, my boss, and the tripped up receptionist.

I tell you, once you get a mouthful of home burnt Memorex, you'll think twice about copying a file. Legit software is the new straightedge. I'll get a Nautical Star tattoo to back it up (no pun intended). No drugs, no alcohol, no leather, no piracy.

The Nautical Star (the new straightedge "X") for those that don't have spikey hair, a castro hat, and a grommeted belt.

That's Tracey, the account manager! She loves taking coffee breaks with Kevin! She "has the delicate job of pleasantly keeping customers waiting while 'How come Kevin's bozzo printing never want to function properly.'"

That was awful in about nine different ways. When he said "Adobe" in that sing-song voice I cringed deeply even though I was the only one in the house. Even thinking about it now is embarrassing.

The whole thing is just such a failure it makes me want to stand on a street corner and pass out DVDs with the full Adobe lineup on them.

Is it only people in the UK that pirate software? Why does this site focus on us Brits?

And what is "the players" section for?

Why did Adobramedia waste its money on this site?

No, the 5 points are to do with an acronym "TPWSK"

Which mean "Tight Pant Wearing Silly Kids"

(which I just made up right now)

I've seen 8 pointed nautical stars on maps near the sea.

I had thought it was summin to do with a stylised way of drawing the stars from the sky which came from the maritime days of past. But it would seem its actually to do with showing your sexuality in a covert way (link1, link2)

I should point out that TPWSK is an emo joke.

Pish. Just remembered I have some nautical stars on my homepage. Shh!
