No Need To Speed Up...

RIP, Sam. Sam, previously discussed here, has gone to meet his maker. (Yes, the site could also win World's Ugliest Website, but have some sympathy, would you please?) And yes, he's real.
The blog is a little more informative, and better looking...a little.

You're saying he went to hell? NOOOOO!

You're saying he wasn't dead already? I could've sworn that was a zombie dog.

I tried to pass him off as my own on my blog a few months back, and readers suggested that I name him Lucifer. Poor doggie.

I had a cat that could have been almost worse.
Ahh.. The Skuzz. He passed away almost two years ago.
He looked almost identical, except a cat.. or something.
I think he was mostly goblin. He didn't act like my other cats.
He lurked in the dark areas of the house, and slinked to the others. He had similar skin problems.
We had little Skuzzlebutt for 5 years. RIP you horrible, horrible little creature. We loved you.
Oh, but wierd dog, huh?

Yes. But I see no mention of Sam's uncanny resemblance to the Sumatran Rat Monkey from Peter Jackson's movie Dead Alive (aka Brain Dead).
Story goes, these great big rats come scuttling off the slave ships and raped all the little tree monkeys .

Yeah, totally the rat monkey, save with better animation.
Oh yeah, and...

Poor Sam. The mean-spiritedness of this thread is depressing.

I've been trying to figure out whether he was completely blind or not. His left eye was definitely blind. His right eye was red, but was it blind, or no?

I can't tell.
Oh, and of course I left out his possible polar opposite, Mr. Winkle. (Although their websites are equally as ugly, I would say...)

Sam gives me the heebies, but Mr. Winkle makes me throw up in my mouth. That level of cuteness cannot be tolerated.

I retract any claims I made, btw, to him not maybe not being that ugly. At the time I said that the site had pictures of the owner's other Chinese Cresteds or something.

To be truthful, Sam was co-champion. His sad passing leaves the other titleholder as undisputed champion:

A press release just went out announcing a 2006 lulu.com calendar featuring the little dickens. Proceeds from sales are going to an animal rescue group founded by members of the Satanic Scientology-spinoff group The Process Church. I pulled a lot of links together for Subcrawl about this, for anyone interested in exploring further. It's pretty odd.

Many, not all, of the above comments effectively disprove the myth that lefties are any more compassionate and selfless than others. Often the reverse seems to be true.
RIP Sam.
