I'm always amazed perusing this kind of historical site at both how much is catured and how much has just faded away. Like Jumbo(31), in existance from 1900-1961 and yet we don't know any of the teacher names.

There is one of these at Knott's Berry Farm, CA, that was bought in the 30's and relocated from Kansas. The design, scale, proportions hammer out the American pragmatic aesthetic.
