Eating food on the D.C. metro, revisited. I think it's funny that the girl is being represented by the Rutherford Institute.

Damn, I wish I'd thought of using "rorschach" for MY MeFi name.

Hurrrm.

Maybe it's not too late to change my name to "The Comedian" or "Nite Owl" (though he was a wuss, so no).

I could watch those for hours....except they all remind me of my mother. Oooh, especially that one.

Can I be Dr. Manhattan? Ozymandias sucks, and I'm certainly not going to be one of crimebusters.

I hear the movie fell through. Bummer. I wanted to see what Terry Gilliam would do with it.

Is it topic drift if we never actually get on topic?

The movie project was rumored to be dependent on "stratospheric" box office for The X-Men. While it did OK, there's no run on the comics-based genre.

We'll see if Sam Raimi can keep the ball rolling with Spider-Man. Although it sounds like it's out another damn year.

I'm afraid it will suck ass. Tobey Maguire? He's so leaden he stops x-rays.

Say, who's the skipper on this topic? We seem to be a little off-course . . . hey . . . ICEBERG! [crunch]

Can I be Dr. Manhattan?

Assuming someone (me) hasn't beaten you to it, you can settle for "BNG" (Blue Naked Guy).

Who knew my name would completely derail the topic before it even started? I've been using Rorschach since my old WWIV BBS days, which was a good 10+ years ago.

As for a movie version--why bother? I read Watchmen over 10 years ago, but from what I remember, the plot would run far too long for a movie. The movie would also be pretty heavy on the exposition side, which can stop any movie dead in its tracks. Cutting a lot of extraneous detail could work, but would, to a large degree, ruin the entire thing.

To hell with the movie, I'll shell out good American dollars to ride in Nite Owl II's flying car. Get cracking, eccentric geniuses!
