Free Jill Carroll

Has Al Jazeera silenced Jill Carrol in the 20 second video they released? And does this photo show that she has a black eye on her left side? There could have been problems with the audio on the released video, but maybe there is another reason? The Al Jazeera website seems fair in reporting the incident.

A Wikipedia link, and a BoingBoing link, neither of which seem to say anything about the questions that you ask. Are you proposing that MetaFilter become the next TSG and research these questions ourselves? Or is this just poor NewsFiltering?

I'm sure it was Al Jazeera that did it - those bastards! It couldn't have been the group who shot and released the tape, that wouldn't make any sense...
