Denial: A river in Pennsylvania?

Santorum, a lying sack of Senator: Seems Pennsylvania's junior senator, who as recently as November told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that "K Street Project" was merely a "good government thing" is now saying: What K Street project? And Grover Norquist? Who he? Oh right, the guy who appeared at the Santorum fund-raiser just last June...

Santorum is not to be trusted. Got it!

But will I still be supporting the troops with a Re-Elect Rick bumper sticker?

Well if that just isn't the frothy mixture on top of my day.

Yes. I am assuming you have the mandatory made in China yellow ribbon magnet and your "abortion stops a beating heart" bumber sticker on your SUV.

Santorum is a name as well? He must have got picked on at school...

Going out on a limb here - Santorum re-elected by a 20 point margin. Cuz that's how it works.

Does that last link in the post work for anyone else?

ericb - See that just shows that Santorum is a man of passion and coviction!! Hell, I'm upping the ante - he wins by 22 points!!

I will personally pay the state of Pennsylvania $5 if they elect anyone other than Santorum. That's five singles into the state treasury that are not there right now. Think about it, PA!

Some of you will know what these are the lyrics to:

"You're a lying sack of crap
You're a lying sack of crap
You're a lying, scheming, nasty low-down sack of liquid crap."

three blind mice, not only that but I let out most of the air in my tires so my mileage goes waaay down and I drive like I'm in a race car. I'm averaging about 4 miles per gallon now!

Will Rick still win by landslide when the photos of him performing cunnilingus on a cow are published?

Joey, I'll match that offer. That's 10 crisp bucks, PA!

I was going to comment about how hysterically polemic this front-page post was, but then I read the comments and came away thinking that the FPP was actually quite temperate by prevailing MeFi standards.

*Raises hand*
Little Ricky's not doing too well in the polls here but I'm not too happy with the leading contender, Casey, who just endorsed Alito. I'd vote for anyone running against Santorum but I wish that we could get candidates in PA that I could get excited about voting for.

I'll send a box of my own vomit. It's almost as valuble as whale vomit. Almost.

Was Rick Santorum named after the frothy mixture...that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex?

AP: I'm sorry, I didn't think I was going to talk about "man on dog" with a United States senator, it's sort of freaking me out.

Every time Santorum comes up, it's like "What the fuck, Pennsylvania? I thought you were one of the good states!"
posted by klangklangston at 3:56 PM on January 26, 2006

As usually, he continues to give the byproducts of anal sex a bad name.

Octothorpe, would you rather have a pro-choice, anti-gun democratic candidate who loses the election, or a anti-choice, pro-gun candidate who wins?

I'll add five dollars to the pot, plus a twix bar. C'mon, PA! Would you rather have a douchebag or some cash and candy?

Seconded. Casey's a pinhead. Still giving him money this year.

How Rick Santorum got his name:
His parents.

How his name came to mean something gross:
Dan Savage.

Well, shouldn't someone add a "santorum" tag?

(Not that there is anything wrong with being tagged with santorum.)

I really wish I were religious because I'd love to go to bed tonight thinking that this charleton will really pay for his petty, crooked behavior. What an awful, awful man. Rick=santorum-fun.

I almost feel bad ragging on 'ole Rick - the target's so big it's not even fun. What was that funny line from one of the moveon.org-ish type places? "The Right Man for the Thirteenth Century"? Ha!

My prediction, Santorum will actually loose. He too crazy, even for Bush.

If I lived in Pittsburgh I'd be hard pressed to vote for Casey. I think I'd writing in Rick Santorums dead fetus.

I'm proud of my involvement with the K Street Project. I know exactly who I am, and what I mean to the world, and the K Street Project helped spread my essence across the nation.

Today, I look at America, and see a nation covered in Santorum, and it fills me with indescribable joy.

All the Pennsylvanians in this thread raise your hands.

I've hated Santorum longer than most of you youngins have even known the name.

Voting against Santorum is a family tradition. I remember how proud my mother was, voting against him for local offices...

Maybe I should vote for him next time, in a kind of reverse psychology type of thing ... maybe it'll hex him or something...

G-d, I hate Santorum so G-d damned much...
posted by jefgodesky at 9:08 PM on January 26, 2006

Oh no ... it's him or Casey?

Here in PA, we grow ourselves some Democrats that occasionally make Republicans look like well-mannered populists.

Yes. Casey. Not too far from the tree.

Drive an hour or two west....

Yeah, jalexi nailed it. We call the vast wilderness between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh 'Pensyltucky' (with apologies to Kentucky). It's a strange state, but we like it.

However, and I realize that Santorum is a national figure, every time I see a thread about him I have to laugh. We get it, he's a butt-head. You folks in the other 49 states can hate on him all you want but only the voters in this state - those who actually bother to go to the polls - can do anything about it. It would help if the Dems could field a decent candidate, but we don't seem to be able to do that.

Don't get me started on Arlen 'magic bullet' Specter who now seems to be Mr. Burns...
