Dean Kamen for starters. Vancouver's Phil Nyutten, who is an active explorer, inventor, submersible engineer, and ocean researcher, as well as a collector of rare original studio master tapes. Most shuttle/ISS astronauts would qualify as Renaissance people.

There are so many Renaissance people around in fact, that we could use a more updated name for them.
