Romance Of The Jedi. Yet another Brokeback-esque mashup, but at least this one doesn't use text nor that guitar song. Please, PLEASE, let this be the last one.

Um, when you post something here, you are at least supposed to be of the opinion that it's worth seeing.

This is a character-building exercise. Now shut up and watch the horrible movie.

It's coarse, rough, irritating and it gets everywhere. Four Stars!

That was awful. Here is a video of an octopus eating a shark.

Here's a monkey washing a cat.

OK, that's enough. The smart people are done with this and the dumb ones have moved in.

Ever since seeing The Shining trailer remix I have been keeping my eye out for more. I found a few. And some are definately better than others. Unfortunately the meme rapidly devolved into simply gayifying trailers, athough sometimes creatively, and finally the artistically limiting brokeback mashup meme. I had high hopes for it but I have yet to see one that is truly as awesome as "Shining." I think the popularity of it has ensured I never will.

On preview, what pracowity said.

I haven't looked at one of these yet. Am I missing anything?

The only thing worse than these Brokeback Mountain mashups is the "it's okay to make gay jokes now" phenomenon the movie has unwittingly engendered. (I swear, if I hear Jay Leno make one more lame homo-joke I will reach through the TV and snap his neck like a twig.)

That being said, this wasn't completely awful.

melt away, you should definitely view the octopus and the monkey washing cat.

I'm still looking forward to "Brokeback Shire" C'mon somebody make it...it's too easy.

The Jedi one would have actually been funnier with the "Brokeback" music.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to be a brokeback mashup at all. Just jedi gay-ness.

"Brokeback Heat" was fairly funny.

I seem to remember that Peter Jackson made little clips for most of the principal stars of LotR. There was one video made of Aragorn/Legolas interactions to the tune of "Hungry Eyes" that supposedly left the actors and crew rolling on the floor. PJ has sworn that none of this stuff will be released but who knows, maybe on the 10th anniversary, when New Line needs a cash infusion, some of this stuff will surface with reissues.

samsara, here you go. Click, and you will discover fandom -- or at least hours of entertainment. Possibly the best part about the whole thing is that they're entirely serious.

If you want a sort of summary, go here and scroll down to "I Could Die for You." And don't expect me to pay for any keyboards you do spit-takes into.

"Brokeback Hour", the one based on "rush hour" with Jackie Chan nearly made me spit tea on my laptop.

Obviously every "buddy" movie has homosexual undertones if you want to read it that way. I like this dumb mashup crap - of course, I like YTMND.com, so perhaps I just have low standards.
