Tayler makes handmade wooden weapons, which he then uses to stage semi-elaborate one man cosplay involving him, his cat & an Australian Shepherd. Archives of previous months stories here.

You know, in some of those shots, he really looks like Dirk the Daring.

Kinda scary.

I think Taylor's homemade story beat most network TV.

No commercials either.

Feel free to design your sword, just email me the plans. Just make sure that you aren't going to have a monster that's 9 feet long, weighs 85 pounds and will take 5 months to carve.

Tayler: it's not the size that counts, it's how you use it.

And according to his web site, he lives about 20 minutes from my work.

Now now, the poor kid, don't be too cruel.

But tell me, what on earth is an Australian Shepherd? Speaking as an Australian, I've never heard of the breed.

Oh, nothing to do with Australia, apparently. Bizarre naming.

They say he carved it ... out of a bigger spoon...

I see you've played knifey-spooney before...

sure looks cold and, er, lonely in Scandia, Minnesota.

But his weapons are reasonably priced!

And rust-proof!

I thought he told a decent story but the cat was used too much. And I wanted to know more about the pickle the hound found.

Balisong: Scandia is not even an hour outside of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. It'd be about 35 miles to St. Paul from Scandia.

I think the dog wants to open a chain of pubs.

Perhaps too much WorldOfWarcraft has softened the grey matter...however as Balisong said - fair pricing, he better be ready for his new career when word gets out on the internets...

That was awesome. I don't know where jonson finds this stuff.

But then he probably just Googled something like "cat pickle sword dog +cat" and hit "I'm feeling lucky!"

Personally, I thought he was reminiscent of Rather Dashing.

Wow, that's awesome. I mean really, really awesome. This kid has an imagination a mile long AND can carve wooden swords. I hope he never jinxes it all by getting laid.

mkultra, you crazy optimist, you say that like it's a real option.

I don't think that's gonna be anything to worry about for quite some time.

I love mkultra's getting laid joke, but I love it so much more with Gamblor's punchline. Thanks, guys, started my day off with a chuckle. As for loquacious, now that you know my secret I must have you killed before you tell everyone!

Oh sure, he can do battle with wooden swords - but could he defeat THIS GUY with his wooden spoon?

Guess you missed the lady in the woods episode... the kid's already got himself a good-looking dom, even!

That Lady in the Woods has got some fresh kicks!
