Let's go quail hunting. (flash) Don't drink too much. We all had a good laugh over the Dick Cheney Quail Hunting game (Deadeye Dick sure is quite a shooter), but here you actually get to shoot some quail. (my apologies to PETA and Harry Whittington) Sorry, but this will only waste about five minutes of your time this Friday.

I used to go quail hunting all the time when I was a kid. It was fun. We did a lot of drinking, if I recall. I never shot anyone, nor did I see anyone shot. Saw a dog shot once though. The dog didn't like it. Not one bit.

Wow. That link to the Dick Cheney quail hunting game was pretty exciting. I didn't get any quail, but I got a secret service guy and a fellow hunter. Too bad I was aiming for the little girl.

Well it's their fault for not making themselves known.

I don't know about you guys, but after a few margaritas I am having trouble hitting the hunter even when I try, much less the quail. I had better stick to Diet Coke.

From the history of the shotgun:
The ball shot or pellets is for the most part made of lead but this has been partially replaced by bismuth, steel, tungsten-iron, tungsten-nickel-iron and even tungsten polymer loads. Non-toxic loads are required by Federal law for waterfowl hunting in the US, as the shot may be ingested by the waterfowl, which some authorities believe can lead to health problems due to the lead exposure.
I'd say that primary lead exposure is quail's (and Whittington's) biggest problem...

I feel new sympathy for Dick. That was hard, especially after drinking, which he also did. Poor guy.

somewhat more polished variation

This one is not perfect, but it's the best thing that I've seen. I don't know why this is still funny, but it is.

I think the gradual, enforced targetting sloppiness which goes along with the daquiri consumption is a convincing touch. I cast my vote with this one.
