3D Teddy

Teddy: A sketching interface for 3D freeform design (in Java). Noodle around with the online applet (see the tutorial for instructions; there's also a demo in .avi format), or download the program so you can save your creations. An even niftier upgrade is available, SmoothTeddy (.avi demo), but SmoothTeddy doesn't have an online version to play with.
The applet runs in a separate applet window (It works reliably only in IE4.0).
This is so last century.

Works fine for me. Cavat: I'm a java developer and I have the latest JDK installed.
But you can download and install the java plug-in to update your system to the latest version.

This used to come bundled with Alice99. It totally kicked ass. Too bad Alice 2.0 lacks some of the best stuff (most notably collision detection). :-(

Sweet. I wish this was a plug in for 3DS Max or MAYA.

Pretty old stuff, but fun. I remember playing with this on the web before it came out in Magic Pengel form.

One of my professors in college was the guy in charge of the Alice project. It was a pretty cool class.
