Listen to live police scanner audio-feeds from all over America. Most require Realplayer, but it's definitely worthwhile. It's things like this that remind me how awesome the internet can be.

For anyone in Central/Western MA, here's Worcester and Springfield police and fire. I don't think they're on the FPP site.

I find it useful to know which of my neighbors I won't be seeing for awhile (I live in a "lively" neighborhood in Worcester).

I remember when apbnew.com used to this. I never did find out why they stopped broadcasting the local scanners.

Wow, this is legal? In the UK you're not supposed to listen to these signals ("intercept") never mind rebroadcast. Think over here they're all digital and enceypted anyway...
