Happy New Year! It's not too early to think about your safety and well-being at the New Year's bash you're planning on attending (or hosting).

That page's just terrible. They're so worked up about telling you alcohol is bad they aren't able to see the fact that it can also be a great way to have fun. Basically, these sites are more of a hindrance for sensible information finding it's way to 'young people', even though they are giving out some good info, all the value-judgements around it are making it very unlikely someone 'll listen.

It was developed by teens, for teens -- so some of the storylines are dramatically overblown. *shrug*

Hey, why can't I proposition my peers for sex as either gender? What kind of New Year's Party is this anyway?

I guess that page was made by bunch of PC kill-joys, who really don't know what's up. May we be all enjoy our decent into the new year.

First some jerk took my money at the liquor store, then I woke up in the hospital, then my mother's car wouldn't start because I put "cheap gas" in it. (What, do these kids work for Exxon?)

What a lousy New Year's. Next year I'm going to stay in and watch the N'Sync special with my grandmother, like God intended.

Doesn't matter which side of this you're on.

The world is clearly going to hell.

Apocalypse now? Okay, then how about... now? Okay, Now, right?

Hey Chicobangs...the world ain't going to Hell. People have been ranting the same thing for centuries, yet civilization is still around, and right now we are at a pretty high point, if I may add. At no other time in the history of the world have more people been more equal and have more opportunity. The problems that we see today (i.e. violence, etc.) have been around since the beginning of history and will remain as long as animals (yes, not just the animal called human) exist. Today, it may seem like there is more because technology, such as the internet and TV, make it more accessible and more "in your face" than ever before. And, we have also been able to refine our habits more than ever before. So smoke a little dope, toss back a six-pack, and blow away some undead!!! And have a happy and hazy New Year!
