Sunlight: It's What's For Dinner. This guy claims he's been living on nothing but water and sunlight for about a year. :::Cough::: He also exhumes the hoary myth about using only 10% of your brain. My favorite is the author credit: "By A Staff Reporter."

This woman has been making a living off tripe like this for years now. She calls it 'Prana', I call it bollocks.

"If someone has gone through the process and can maintaining non-eating, they can choose to eat for pleasure."--from Amazon's book description of Jasmuheen's "Living on Light."

I'm sure people are able to maintain the state of non-eating for almost a week before they resort to eating for pleasure.

I've been subsisting on a steady diet of skepticism for years now.

The Breatharian Institute of America also encourages people to live on sunlight alone. They should get in contact with the 24,000 unenlightened souls that die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes.

This guy, Dr. Buche, N.D., claims he lived on sunlight (and plenty of water) for three weeks. Of course, he also claims that in roughly "three years and a few months from now," a giant comet will "stream into our planetary system and wreak havoc as it has done every 3657 years." Ooo-kay.

I remember when Times of India used to be a good newpaper with real news.
As for the "Satff Reporter" thing, TOI always credits articles that way, unless the reporter is really famous.

A guy in Santa Cruz was making this claim a few years ago, and then disappeared from the scene after being spotted in a MacDonalds.

Mind you, I buy this sunlight in heavily processed form from people who specialize in that sort of thing, laying out large arrays of self-maintaining chlorophyll-based collector devices, then detaching the filled storage units and selling them...

Mars, does your sunlight contain "natural flavors"? I hear that makes it taste a lot better.

Didn't the head of the Breatharian movement get busted slipping out at night to the Circle K for chips and nachos and stuff?

Shame, that. I could go for being a vegetable for a few months. (Oh, shush.)

If water is available, anyone can generally live for as long as their body has stored fat to consume. (Vitamins would help, though.)
