People that liked this video also seemed to like This cat that think it's a dog

It's from "Silent Night, Deadly Night, Part 2".

I'm a little embarassed that I know that. It's a terrible movie.

Someday I'm going to time exactly how long it takes for something from SA to make it over the MeFi.

That cat video I Foody linked is hilarious.

Hah. When I recognized what that was from, I started to look up the link, and then said to myself, "Do I really want to acknowledge that I watched this turd?"

My cats do the same thing at the window when they see birds. I always thought it was some attempt to confuse the birds and draw them in the for kill.

Indiebass: *takes full responsibility for dumbing down the blue just a little bit* I will also apologise. But i just couldn't stop watching it! Now i need to see the whole film.

hey interrobang and gamblor- this is quite tangential, but do you remember a female actor saying "WHAT HAPPENED TO RICKY?!" in that movie? (i've been trying to hunt down a movie sample for a long time, and that clip plus the description of SNDL: Pt 2 makes it a good candidate)

Can we flag this as total crap?

But I thought it was garbage day?

Sorry, cgs, I don't remember much, except that astonishingly bad actor.

Yeah, but that link lead to this AWESOME link which made my week. Especially around the part of "radio communications become difficult."

I don't remember it either, cgs.

Ahem:

My friends and I have a yearly tradition of watching Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 around christmas time.

Grampa from the first SNDN is also pretty great.

That is all. Thank you for your time.

Our cats do that too, on garbage day.

Lurve, lurve, lurve the cat videos. My cats "talk" to crows (just crows, no other birds) similarly to the one linked to by I Foody.

When she wants to be let in or out, my cat says "hello." It's pretty neat.

Re: This cat that think it's a dog - my cat does that exact thing every morning at the crows. She fucking hates crows.
posted by sidereal at 3:34 PM on April 5, 2006

Interesting! One of our cats does that thing (the cat video thing, I mean, not the shooting a man putting out his trashcan thing) when he sees the laser pointer dot (and then loses sight of it). Same with the mouse pointer, or if there's a bug on the ceiling or somewhere out of reach.
posted by notmydesk at 3:40 PM on April 5, 2006

The cat clearly thinks it's a duck, not a dog. That said, one of my cats does this as well. Birds, laser pointers, whatever. He just likes to cluck.

I thought the cat sounded more like a monkey. I have had cats in the past do the same kind of noises while watching birds through the window. Not one of them, now. He's a silent stalker.

There was a second Silent Night, Deadly Night? INFORMED.

Sidereal apologises for contributing to the derailment of a minor FPP. Cats will do that.

Out of curiosity: Are you asking because the sample is used in the jungle track "Ricky", by Remarc & Lewi? If so, the samples come from the movie Menace II Society.
