You are correct.
I will refrain from doing this again (this is my first and only infraction of this)
My Apologies.

I laughed, but mildweed - it's so incredibly easy to just pop into #tapes or Metachat and ask someone else to post it for you. Why wouldn't you do that?

Yeah, yeah, I got it.
Apology and everything.
Not happening again.

MeTa
You are right, it won't happen again, because the banhammer is both swift and just.

Because your apology is so moving and convincing, I am inclined to give you a break, not castigate you inside out, and allow your link to stay up.
What say you, MeFites? Have his words not moved that innermost instinct inside you that yearns to be more human than you are? Shall we not look past the humble missteps to the humble soul within that lays each one down after the other?
Can we not bow before this man's eloquent plea for clemency and for once set aside our rancor and partisanship for the sake of a moment of grace that might... just might take us all to a higher place?
On second thought, nah. Ban the fuck. "Yeah yeah" is not a good enough excuse to ward off baninnation (though he gets points for effort, surely).

Hear me for my cause; and be silent, that you may hear: believe me for mine honour, and have respect to mine honour, that you may believe: censure me in your wisdom, and awake your senses, that you may the better judge. If there be any in this assembly, any dear friend of mildweed’s, to him I say, that scarabic's love to mildweed was no less than his. If then that friend demand why scarabic rose against mildweed, this is my answer: Not that I loved mildweed less, but that I loved Metafilter more. Had you rather mildweed were living, and die all slaves, than that mildweed were dead, to live all free men? As mildweed loved me, I weep for him; as he was fortunate, I rejoice at it; as he was valiant, I honour him; but, as he was ambitious, I slew him. There is tears for his love; joy for his fortune; honour for his valour; and death for his ambition. Who is here so base that would be a bondman? If any, speak; for him have I offended. Who is here so rude that would not be a MeFi? If any, speak; for him have I offended. Who is here so vile that will not love his Metafilter? If any, speak; for him have I offended. I pause for a reply.

Not sure what's worse, someone self linking or someone letting the world know they flagged it like some 10 year old running to mommy.
