Broken Arrow: Goldsboro, NC. On Tuesday, 24 January 1961, at about 12:30 a.m., two hydrogen bombs fell to earth near the tiny farming village of Faro, NC...

An interesting read.

Mark 39 bomb = 3 - 4 Megaton yield. Ouch.My parents would have survived, but my grandparents would probably have been in the fallout zone.

They do need to be armed before they detonate.

Ah, well... It's a great way to draw in the tourists. I'm 4 counties away from that puny thing. I'm only slightly more worried about this place, which has an enormous storage pool for depleted uranium, and is located much, much closer to large concentrations of people.
