Some of the artwork is nice. The arbitrarily-relevant-celebrity-thrown-into-wacky-situation meme is kind of tired, though.

I don't see any Conan vs. Big, hairy-type guy pictures. How is that possible?

I don't care if the meme sucks or not. Bear = Sabretooth is the best thing I've ever seen.

Ever.

Some of these are very good.

who is Conan O'Brien? What is his thing with bears?

It's like 500 variations on Ceiling Cat!

Of course, Ceiling Cat doesn't watch late night talk shows.

Me, I'm waiting for Craig Ferguson vs. Tiger. Now THAT will be cool.

Craig Ferguson WISHES he were Conan. Also, your favourite band sucks.

After watching TDS/Colbert watching Conan is just so lame...
posted by delmoi at 12:54 AM on June 22, 2006

wilful, Conan is just a goofy, American talk show host. So is Craig Ferguson (although he's technically Scottish).

No masturbating bears?

beyond that, they seem to be keeping their site "appropriate for all ages".

Heh. Nice.

I knew somebody had to do it.

Sweet mother of jesus, I can't believe this isn't a double. I swear I remember seeing it somewhere at LEAST a year ago.

Hmm, none riffing off that John Lurie bear meme from Russia? Disappointing.

On preview: Silky Slim's observation.

i actually know what you mean, but i think that's only because stewart & colbert do topical material while conan focuses on general absurdity and silliness. he's as sharp as they are, and some of his comedy bits are pure gold - they're just not directed at anyone.
posted by Silky Slim at 2:09 AM on June 22, 2006

Colbert has a real problem with bears... I don't get what Conan's deal is.
posted by pruner at 3:02 AM on June 22, 2006

I've always thoroughly enjoyed Conan. I also don't think its fair to compare him to Stewart and Colbert, totally different shows. Throw me in for seconding Silky Slim's words.

I'll take a free Conan over a slave to cable TDS or Colbert anyday.

Gasp! Blasphemy!!

Immigants! I knew it was dem. Even when it was the bears, I knew it was dem.

This one is inspired.

Conan's more about the improv and the riffing and his goofy at times inspired interaction with the guests. And he doesn't do a bad job of skewering Dubya now and again (as much as one can on a network owned by friggin' GE that is).

Fully web 2.0 compliant.

See? Now that wasn't so difficult.

Colbert > Conan

Colbert > Conan

5/5 bears agree, they'd rather fight Colbert than Conan.

I think they're both equally funny, and that if you put Stephen Colbert into Conan's job he'd flop pretty badly. He's brilliant at what he does, though.
