Note to GWB Here's an easy, cheap way to improve the quality of education, and (ahem) get a grasp on world geography. Also a good lesson on how linked we all are. Maybe there's a foreign policy lesson here too. . .

Sometimes I think I might just be a little too good at keeping myself out of the vast email-forwarding conspiracy - this sounds like something that would have actually been fun to get.

I have to wonder how well this scales, though: if you divide the number of 'net users interested in participating in something like this by the number of classrooms able to send out such a request, is the result still as huge as it would have to be to get this kind of response rate?

Cool. I replied to the Greenbriar email. (With a little note saying that it was a lovely project, but not necessarily the best netiquette.)
