Nimian Hunter ~ Ride your horse, lasso the creatures, and feed your demon. (note: flash)

That was sort of fun, I guess.

I'm too lazy to play through again. What happens if you don't feed the flying bug to the angry red blur?

You fight the angry red blur and then get turned to stone. Whoopee. Kind of atmospheric, though. This was somebody's game design school project, maybe?

SPOILER!!

Then you have to fight the angry red blur while riding the flying bug, last-boss style. Eventually, if you beat down the red guy, then you have to make "a final sacrifice" and you ride up, lasso a floaty icon head, and boof are turned into a statue.

I don't want to play it through again either. What happens if you DO feed the crystal flier to the demon?

You get sent to the past, like he promised - only WiTH A TWIST! You arrive seconds before the world's destruction, and you have to fight the demon, only all the people who would normally help you are those moths, which you already killed/fed to the demon. So, you're screwed, and the game suddenly ends.

It's all very disappointing, really.

(but very pretty)

Oh god that horseback riding felt interminable. I gues its a nice use of flash, but for Pete's sake make it shorter.

This couldn't wait until Friday?

Very impressive, but yeah, those are some long horsey rides. Music is actually quite good.

Hint: with your quarry lassoed, avoid smashing it into a tree. If you do, click the lasso again quickly.

Another hint; smacking trees with your empty lasso will knock them over, and maybe it'll thin them out so it's easier to drag prey back without hitting trees.

Unless the trees are randomly generated as you go, which they might be.

Wow. I just found that on Milk and Cookies and played the levels. Nice, nice, modest game -especially considering the design.

And I love the moral.

EX-cellent post!

I started riding in a random direction until I realized that all the little bug things I needed to get were behind me. At that point, though, I found out that I'm very good at riding through trees and splitting them in half.

I'm enjoying it, then my cursor strays and I end up clicking a link on the surrounding page. I start over. The same thing happens at the same place. Damn it! It's impressive work, though.

Nobody's feeling the Shadow of the Colossus vibe yet?

Okay, I played this for 15 minutes and was truly baffled. Then I read the Jayisgames and realised I wasn't supposed to be lassoing the flying pterodactyl-like things...

Having now worked out how to play and collected the first two beasties: good game, but got really bored on that slowass horse.

It made me sad. I don't want to feed the happy green dragonflies to the mean red demon. What did they ever do to me?

I'm still too busy playing drifts.
