"Insert something meaningful here" Is that how the Bush White House is going to communicate with us for the next four years?

heh, metafilter thread comments-as-news. Must have been a really slow news day for the tech world.

"One explanation for the glitches is that the launch was rushed by the uncertainty over the outcome of the election: Bush's aides had barely a month to prepare."

As much as I would like to bash bush over this (and I'd love to find new ways to tell Monkey Boy to cram it with walnuts) I've written worse as dummy text myself on pages. All this shows is that the production staff of Whitehouse.gov is sardonic.

I await a check from Wired News.

You know, if you're going to put up the page in a rush, the broken links aren't so bad, but you don't have to have the front page say "Insert something meaningful here" . It's so unprofessional and insincere

it opens the door for a great whitehouse parody site though...."insert something meaningful here", "sentimental rhetoric with meaningful picture", "random comments"....someone want to build a dynamic site generator? For a personalized whitehouse experience?
