While the world was busy debating if the Playboy article was a giant step backwards for female sportscasters, Jutta Kleinschmidt became the first woman to win the Paris-Dakar Rally.

Holy shit, that rocks. I remember when I was a teenager and into motorcycles, the Paris to Dakar rally looked utterly grueling. I can imagine there's a considerable amount of physical and mental abuse day in and day out for three weeks, and my hat's off to anyone that finishes it.

I always thought motorcycles finished ahead of the cars, though, does that not happen anymore?

Well done Jutta! It's great to see a woman win a major motorsport event.

Awesome! I only wish I had followed it more closely. Thanks Tanim, this news really made my day.

She's cute. I wonder if we could talk her into posing for Playboy. [wink]
